Sakshi Gupta’s practice in sculpture and installation seeks to give form to certain philosophical and emotional processes. Her works address notions of transformation as she sees her engagement with it as balancing out life’s inherent polarities. In Strange Beginnings I & II, she attempts to take the idea of transformation to its ultimate destination, that of dissolution; being not only in the subtle centre of its experience but also distancing oneself from it in order to witness it, internalising the beauty and wisdom it affords thereby being able to rise from it.
